Built on the site of a destroyed chapel in 1739, the Eglise Saint-Philippe-du-Roule came from the wishes of Louis XV who wanted to give back a sanctuary to the district. Located on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, close to Place de la Madeleine and Place de Vendôme, its style, with antique columns, looks like that of Roman temples.
